Overview
CREDIT MANAGER
Reporting to the General Manager, the Credit Manager’s main duties include spearheading the
daily operations of the credit function in an efficient and effective manner, putting in place
effective credit management, monitoring, collection, and recovery strategies.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- The incumbent will manage the SACCO`s credit risk framework, assist the Board in
establishing a credit risk strategy with significant credit risk policies, reflecting the SACCO’s
risk tolerance as determined by the Board.
The incumbent will also be responsible for:
- Developing policies and procedures for identifying, measuring, monitoring, and
controlling credit risk (at individual and portfolio levels). - Assist the Board and management in final pricing of the SACCO loan products through establishing and setting adequate interest rates and total cost of credit in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. The Credit Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities
within the Credit function and this include:
- Managing loan default accounts.
- Approving the loan budget in respect to the Strategic plan and annual budget.
- Establishing overall loan limits for all loan products.
- Establishing clear processes for approving loans as well as amending and revolving
existing loans. - Managing loan defaults and non-performing loans and taking appropriate action.
- Ensuring loan appraisals are correctly done to eliminate loan default.
3. The Credit Manager will conduct the following duties amongst other duties:
- Ensure existence of a system for ongoing administration of the loan portfolio with adequate
segregation of duties. - Conduct periodic reviews to ensure that borrowers are in good standing, maintaining
records of all loans and monitoring loan payments against the loans granted. - Develop and enhance the credit reporting & monitoring framework which meets the requirements of various internal & external stakeholders.
- Ensure the preparation, approval and submission of the Risk Classification of Assets and Provisioning Report and Statistics Report for the Board and Management.
- Assess and interpret prudential reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and credit risk strategy and policy.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking or its equivalent
with five (5) years’ experience in a similar position - Diploma in Cooperative Business Management, Credit Management or Risk Management
or experience in credit analysis would an added advantage - At least five (5) years’ relevant experience in credit administration, loan management
or cooperative management from a relevant setting.

COMPLIANCE / HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Reporting to the General Manager, the Compliance Manager`s role is to ensure the SACCO
operates within the law and meets regulatory standards. The incumbent is responsible for
ensuring adherence to governance principles and procedures as well as regulations and
applicable laws (The FSRA Act, 2010, Cooperative Societies Act, 2003, Revenue laws, Labour
laws, Anti-Money Laundering laws, Consumer Credit Laws, and other laws and regulations with
an impact on the SACCO`s operations.
The Incumbent will also responsible for driving the Human Resource Strategy: ensuring
compliance with labour law and managing risks inherent in the employer, employee relations,
provide leadership and ensure efficient and effective management of staff and resources in the HR
department.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Formulate and implement the SACCO`s Compliance Risk Management Framework, evaluate
compliance breaches with a view to identifying trends or areas of process improvement. - Ensure regulatory requirements are incorporated into the business procedure manuals.
- Provide recommendations and remedial action for compliance breaches or issues arising.
- Perform independent compliance monitoring (e.g., control effectiveness reviews, special
reviews and risk indicator monitoring and promptly report material compliance breaches or
issues. - Establish a compliance culture in the SACCO that contributes to the overall
objective of prudent risk management. - Develop and monitor implementation of effective human resources strategies and
policies in line with the Sacco strategy. - Manage the SACCO`s Industrial Relations risks with an aim to create a stable work
environment that enables cooperation between the main stakeholders: Employer and Employee
relations as well as the best interest of the SACCO members. - Identify and improve the SACCO human capital: Recruit, deploy and retain quality talents for
the Society for optimal alignment with the SACCO`s strategic mandate. - Compile and present periodic reports to the Board on compliance status of the SACCO
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- BA LAW, LLB, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
- 3 years of progressive experience in the Legal risk and compliance field
- A relevant Compliance Officer’s certificate and/or Higher National Diploma in Human
- Resource Management will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the Eswatini Labour Laws
- Experience in the SACCO movement is essential.
