Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Receptionist in the Operations Department at ENPF. The position reports to the Senior Customer Service Officer.


To support the business operations of the Fund by effectively operating the switchboard, receive and direct visitors in a polite, professional and informative manner,


  • To operate switchboard to receive, screen and direct incoming calls
  • Attend to queries or questions from staff, members and the public as requested
  • Give routine information to walk in and calling members
  • Perform receptionist duties, including receiving and directing visitors to appropriate office in a professional and courteous manner
  • Make outgoing calls, ensure staff are promptly and accurately connected and all such calls recorded in the telephone log book
  • Accurate take and relay messages, ensure important and urgent information is forwarded to the intended staff member or office at the earliest time human possible
  • Maintain the message and telephone logbooks and records, ensure they remain up to date and accurate at all times
  • Ensure all security threats are reported immediately, issue visitor’s access cards to appropriate and deserving  visitors
  • Maintain safe and clean reception area, ensure the atmosphere is welcoming and promotes the core values and integrity of the ENPF
  • Maintain up to date staff information records, including contacts, extension numbers/department, direct telephones, movements and other important information
  • Perform any other duties as required to support the mission of the department and the Fund as a whole


  • Diploma in Secretarial Studies/Office Administration
  • A certificate inbound and outbound call centre services will be considered an added advantage
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of Ms Office package


  • 2 years’ experience with at least one year of clerical experience including switchboard operation and public contact
  • Operation and maintenance of switchboard equipment
  • Basic practices and procedures for telephone systems administration
