Chief Operations Officer

FNB Eswatini is looking to engage a Chief Operations Officer who will be responsible for ensuring that the bank’s operational architecture delivers strategic objectives and is compliant with the bank’s policy framework and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is key in leading FNB’s long-term transformation program.

Key Performance Areas:

• Ensuring there are infrastructure and back-end processes that elevate customer experience.

• Identify innovation opportunities and drive their execution in partnership with different business units.

• Co-ordinate the bank’s transformation agenda and lead the bank’s ‘solutions build’ process.

• Day-to-day oversight of bank-wide operations and execution of corporate strategy – primarily responsible for overall operational stability of the bank.

• Co-ordinate the efficient utilization of resources -People, Infrastructure, Finance, Technology, etc. – to meet customer needs.

Qualifications: Appropriate degree in Engineering or related field. A business degree would be an added benefit .

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years management (general management and/or project management) experience.

• Drive the back-end to support growth and profitability through operational excellence, process efficiencies and cost management.

• Lead partner in organisational and operating/ business model design.

• Lead Product, Service Delivery and Management through Omni channel availability of the bank’s products.

• Use technology and simplified processes to deliver best in class employee and customer experience.

• Efficient Regulatory monitoring in execution of day-to-day operations.

Additional Preference: The COO needs to be a master of change, able to adapt constantly in a fast-changing digital landscape, and in an environment of heightened customer expectations.

The candidate should have the capability to understand the real work behind the bank’s core operations.

Chief Information Officer

FNB Eswatini is looking to identify a digital business leader to serve as the Chief Information Officer reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The role is expected to build on FNB’s track record on technological innovation by leading accelerated digital transformation and leveraging of technology, information and people resources to drive business value.

Key Performance Areas:

• Leverage technology and data to create value for the business by transformation of IT to an even stronger driver of business value.

• Integrate Technology Management across business units to deliver excellent user experiences.

• Enhance the bank’s ability to use data as a strategic resource.

• Manage core IT Operations to create required efficiencies through technology and strategic partnerships.

• Infusion of technology into strategy and process throughout the bank, including promotion of collaboration between business and technology.

• Strengthening the role of technology as a business and innovation partner and design tech-forward business strategy.

• Lead transformation of the business into a core player in the digital economy.

• Enable functional agility and improve IT services with next generation capabilities such as end-to-end automation, platform as a service, and cloud use optimization.

• Use innovation around technology and business intelligence to help identify and solve for root causes that disrupt operations.

• Adopt integrated approach to IT initiatives that account for dependencies beyond IT.

• Develop current people capabilities, retain and attract talent to drive and support technology and digital transformation.

• Co-ordinate the bank’s IT security strategy, including special focus on cyber-security risk.

Qualifications:

Appropriate degree in Information Technology, Engineering or relevant field.

Work Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Transformative Information Technology and Data Management.

Additional Preference: Understanding of disruptive technologies, especially within Financial Services.
