FOUNDATION PHASE TEACHER
Khanyisile Pre & Primary School invites applications from passionate, dedicated and qualified educators for the position of Foundation Phase Teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
-
An undergraduate degree (NQF Level 6) in ECD or B.Ed (Foundation Phase)
-
PGCE in Foundation Phase Education (Honours degree advantageous)
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Foundation Phase Teacher
-
Experience in an ISASA school will be a strong advantage
-
Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills
-
Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills
-
Willing and able to work extended hours (sports and cultural events)
-
Confident and proficient in the use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
-
Plan and deliver lessons using modern teaching tools and methods
-
Develop and adapt term plans, including revision and learner support plans
-
Manage classroom environment, discipline and learner engagement
-
Design and manage assessments, moderation and interventions
-
Manage homework, reading programmes and learner progress
-
Plan and manage extramural activities and outings
-
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
-
Participate in school activities and professional development
