
INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST
FSRA invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the position of Infrastructure Specialist within the IT Unit, Corporate Services Department.
Reporting to the Manager IT, the successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic design, implementation, administration, optimization, and security of the organization’s ICT infrastructure to ensure high availability, resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency. The role also provides technical leadership in enterprise infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud and virtualization services, disaster recovery, and business continuity while ensuring alignment between ICT services and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise ICT infrastructure, networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud services.
- Ensure infrastructure availability, scalability, security, and operational resilience.
- Manage disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.
- Lead infrastructure security initiatives including firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
- Support ICT infrastructure projects, systems implementation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and service availability.
- Manage ICT vendors, service providers, and infrastructure-related procurement processes.
- Ensure compliance with ICT governance frameworks, security standards, and best practices.
- Prepare infrastructure performance, risk, and compliance reports.
Required Qualifications & Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as:
- Project Management
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
- Azure
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- ISO 27001
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
or equivalent certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in ICT infrastructure administration, networking, systems engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Proven experience in enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cloud services, backup technologies, security infrastructure, and disaster recovery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Innovative and solution-oriented mindset.
