LIHLUMELA  PRE-SCHOOLS

SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini has been running Kindergartens for over three decades. Our focus must be on our core beneficiaries so the Kindergartens in Mbabane and Nhlangano will now be run separately as the Lihlumela Pre-schools.

The objective of the Lihlumela Pre-schools is to provide excellent child centered learning that raises responsible adults.

We put the needs of our children first and deliver excellence in our teaching methods that allows children to develop into the best they can be.

Our responsibility is building relationship that ensure parents and children are involved and active in their own development.

Applicants are invited to apply for the following vacancies:

 Lead educator FOR LIHLUMELA PRE-SCHOOLS (2 positions)

 The ideal candidates will be hired on a two (2) year renewable contract, from January 2020. The position will report directly to the Schools’ Manager. One lead Teacher will be placed in Mbabane, and the other will be placed in Nhlangano.

POSITION SUMMARY

To nurture, care and grow children who will become responsible, independent adults ensuring the wellbeing, safety and security children in your care at all times.

To foster excellent commutations with parents enabling them to become partners in the education of their children.

To oversee the basic human recourse of the teaching teams including time keeping, attendance and oversee the daily, weekly, monthly curriculum plans.

Monthly financial reporting on school fee payments, stock levels, petty cash payments and receipts.

To facilitate effective learning of our young people to enable them to meet all educational milestones as per the school’s guidelines.

Ensure that all data entry is up to date and accurately recorded to ensure the ultimate success and efficiency of the preschools in order to meet targets both educational and financial.

Education and Experience:

  • Preschools degree/ equivalent professional qualification/ relevant preschools experience
  • Background in early childhood development or teaching
  • Three (3) year’s work experience
  • Experience with relevant software applications (Excel, Word, Paint)

Skills required:

  • Good presentation skills:
    • To represent in a professional manner the Lihlumela Schools brand in front children, parents and external partners (government, parents etc..)
  • Languages: Fluency in English required and ideally basic speaking abilities in other languages (Siswati – preferable)
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power point)

 

Special requirements:

  • Commitment to the Lihlumela Preschools Mission and work ethics
  • Willingness and ability to compete the tasks and objectives set within the salary allocated

Educator FOR LIHLUMELA PRE-SCHOOLS (3 positions)

 The ideal candidates will be hired on a two (2) year renewable contract, from January 2020. The position will report directly to the Lead Educator. Two (2) Educators will be placed in Mbabane, and three (3) will be placed in Nhlangano.
