Overview

Applications are invited from qualifying and suitable candidates to fill a vacant position of Lead Specialist Auditor that reports to the Head of Internal Audit under Internal Audit Department.

JOB PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Lead Specialist Auditor role is responsible for managing and leading the IS Applications,
Performance and Change Audit team in execution of audit assignments, it also advises senior
management and the Board on the adequacy and effectiveness of the overall control environment, risk
management and governance processes, as well as the overall control environment within the
Information System and Support Business Areas to ensure that internal audit performance meet
management’s expectation and is in compliance with international auditing standards and best practice.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

 Conduct IT audit, Change audits and
Performance audits.

 Assess and evaluate bank-wide
inherent risks through performance of
annual risk assessment reviews.

 Develop an annual audit plan based
on the audit universe for consideration
and review by Head of Internal Audit.

 Assign, monitor and manage individual
audit projects allocated to the audit
team.

 Monitor and evaluate Internal Audit
Staff performance appraisal/
assessment process.

 Conduct, review and apprise
management and on outcomes of
executed special and or consultancy
assignments.

QUALIFICATION

 Professional qualification relating to information systems auditing

 Bachelor of commerce Degree (Accounting /Auditing) will be an added advantage

 CA/CIA will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE

 Minimum five (5) years’ experience working in an auditing environment, three (3) of which
being in a supervisory position

 Minimum three (3) years working experience on IT auditing

 Data analytics and computer assisted auditing techniques.
