Applications are invited from suitable and qualifying candidates to fill the positions of Occupational Safety and Health Consultant that exists within the Risk Management Department.

JOB PRIMARY PURPOSE

To assess, propose, monitor the management of workplace safety in the Bank to ensure compliance and harmony with COVID-19 Regulations and developments.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

 Conduct health risk assessment and occupational hygiene.

 Record, report and carry out investigations, providing technical
expertise.

 Implement an employee safety and health training protocol.

 Develop and coordinate hazard control systems.

 Assess and maintain strict PPE policies for employees.

 Identify and develop robust crisis management responses and
capabilities.

 Develop SHERQ Framework.

 To assess, review, recommend, implement and manage the safety and
health compliance risks bank wide to protect CBS assets and human capital in line with Bank Policies, strategies and procedures.

 Drive change in behavior in view of the COVID-19 dictates.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Degree in Occupational Safety; Certificate in Occupational Hygiene; Certificate in Health Risk Assessments

 At least two years’ experience in a SHERQ environment or department or related experience in environmental management;

 At least 2 years in Occupational Hygiene

 At least 3 years in Health Hazard & Risk Assessment Management;

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 Excellent interpersonal skills to manage and establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

 Must be a team player and a visionary

 Ability to pay attention to detail

 Excellent communication skills in both Siswati and English

 Excellent presentation, report writing and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet)

REMUNERATION

The Bank offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with value add and qualifications.
