Job Title : Operations Manager

Region /Location: Head Office, Mbabane

Position Status: Five Years renewable

Job incumbent reports to : National Director

Reporting to this position: AU Field Coordinators

Qualification/Experience

• University Master’s Degree preferably in Agriculture or Equivalent

• A minimum 7 years’ experience in a Management of a medium sized organization including managing projects;

• Must be mature and at (east 30 years of age and have a valid driver’s license

• Extensive experience of proposal writing and management of donor funds /projects

• Human Resource Management Competencies end Attributes

• Must be a born again and committed Christian with excellent analytical skills, strong strategic and creative thinking

• Exceptional motivator, proven ability to manage professionals, staff and coordinate administrative activities

• Excellent administration, management and communication skills

Responsibilities:

LEADERSHIP

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to program and other managers and ensure achievement of organisational goals and objectives

• Ensure through facilitation through the National Director that ACAT develops and operates under guidance of long term strategic plans

• Facilitates preparation of Board papers I reports in line with ACAT Board reporting format.

• Identify donors, facilitate the preparation of funding proposals and submit funding requests per set guidelines

ADMINISTRATION AND PROGRAMME PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT

• Determinate strategic and operational information to Management and staff for efficient achievements of organisational objectives

• Daily supervise and administer staff, assign duties and responsibilities as laid down in their job descriptions

• Ensure that budgets are accurately projected in line with projects on the ground

• Ensure that responsible staff submit progress and annual reports as required

• Analyze all programme reports and provide guidance where necessary

• Ensure that there is proper reporting and monitoring of programs implemented

• Facilitate the operation of programmes in compliance to donor requirements

• Coordinate the planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation of new and existing programs

• Effective management and administration of all staff

• Submission of regular and accurate reports to the Board of Trustees through the National Director
