PSI/Eswatini (PSI/ES)

PSI/ES is a nonprofit company registered locally under the laws of Eswatini that has been implementing health programs since 2001. Fully committed to measurable health impact, PSI/Eswatini works in close cooperation with government, partners in the public and private sectors and local civil society to deliver high quality health programs to reach vulnerable populations with needed health prevention services, products and information. The organization is currently implementing HIV prevention programs including community-based HIV counseling and testing, linkages to care and treatment, treatment initiation, voluntary medical male circumcision, non-communicable diseases (NCD) and condom promotion and distribution, employing both fixed site and mobile outreach models. All services are accompanied by social behavior change communication messaging.

PSI seeks an enthusiastic, energetic, and committed individual with an interest in building/ furthering a career in NGO sector for the position of Social-Media & IPC Agent within PSI Eswatini’s Marketing and Communication Department. The Social-Media & IPC Agent will combine marketing, communications and social media marketing skills to enhance PSI social media presence, including interacting with clients both physically and over social media; creating engaging content and promoting social behavioral change. The incumbent will also analyze data, identify customer trends in interaction to better inform PSI’s communication efforts as well as build an interactive community online.

Your contribution

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Assist in content formulation and posting of content on all PSI social media platforms.
  • Drive our digital marketing strategy to create stronger relationships with our audience to increase uptake of PSI services and products
  • Manage Google Analytics and such platforms to optimize our reach and convert leads to clients
  • Assist with designing and developing material for online and offline platforms including event flyers and website content
  • Assist with the development of media materials, including press releases, key messages and media lists
  • Develop and maintain ongoing content for our social media channels, utilizing a social media calendar to ensure success of the channels
  • Increase like/followers of PSI pages on social media and U-report
  • Post educational information daily on social media to promote PSI programs
  • Respond timely to client questions or queries
  • Provide e-referrals to clients for PSI services uptake using prescribed social media platforms.

Interpersonal

  • Conduct formal and informal small group education sessions as required.
  • Manage information desks during educational sessions, special events and promotions in designated locations.
  • Assist in the distribution of health commodities during promotions and special events.
  • Distribute IEC and promotional materials during outreach sessions and promotional events.

Other

  • Support call centre operations
  • Answer phones and handle customer inquiries as required
  • Assist in the preparation of the marketing and communications department purchase requisitions as requested.

Reporting

  • Document and submit weekly reports as required
  • Partake and present in departmental monthly meetings

What are we looking for?

The Basics:

  • Certificate in Marketing/Communications/ Advertising/Public Relations
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in social media marketing and tracking.
  • Familiarity with the health sector an added advantage
  • Experience with Google analytics/ Hootsuite/SEO
  • Knowledge in HIV prevention programming or Social Behavior Change Communication.

A few necessities

Competences/Abilities/Aptitudes Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and SiSwati.
  • Experience with digital marketing/social media required.
  • Proven ability to manage social media assets and run social media campaigns.
  • Relevant experience in conducting sales/ merchandising or community work for products and services.
  • Willingness to assist the organization in accepting to take other additional responsibilities in the limit of personal competencies and capacities should the needs arise.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
