RESEACRH ANALYST (AMRS/RA21)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Providing support in researching, analyzing and interpreting data related to the Construction industry of Eswatini.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring and collection of construction industry information.
  • Ensuring that accurate research as well as survey data is undertaken, analyzed and presented. o Producing annual construction industry research and performance reports.
  • Establishing the construction industry database.
  • Monitoring regional and international construction industry trends through the collection of research information.
  • Budget preparation through the identification of key studies and activities to be undertaken.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • B. A. Social Science with Economics and Statistics/Demography.
  • 3 years’ experience in an economic and/or research environment.
  • Experience in research techniques and data analysis would be an added advantage.
  • Must have excellent communication and report writing skills.

IT OFFICER (AMRS/IT21)

PURPOSE OFTHE JOB: Provide technical support by maintaining the Council’s IT systems, both hardware & software and further ensuring the security & integrity of all IT operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the CIC business with its ICT roadmap.
  • Managing Service Level Agreements with ICT vendors.
  • Maintaining efficient, effective database backup procedures and monitor the security of all technology
  • Maintenance and support of ICT Infrastructure & software solutions.
  • Evaluate new software and hardware to ensure compliance with the Council’s standards and regulations.
  • Documentation of Functional and Technical Specifications
  • Gathering business requirements and continuous ICT improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Systems.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft suite of programmes
  • Exposure to cloud applications will be an advantage.

INSPECTOR (AMRS/INSP21)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To inspect all construction sites and ensure compliance with the CIC Act of 2013 and the Construction Industry Levy Regulations of 2016.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out site inspections to ensure that contractors, construction projects, joint ventures are registered with CIC in compliance with the CIC Act.
  • Provide guidance to all CIC units on how to improve compliance and inspections.
  • Prepare inspection reports for periodical reporting as provided for in the CIC procedures.
  • Carry out inspections to ensure that all Construction sites adhere to Health and Safety Regulations and Environmental Legislation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2 years’ experience in civil or building works.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B).
