Overview

The Institute of Development Management is a regional organisation, with campuses in Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini providing management development through Education, Training, Research and Consultancy. IDM invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to provide efficient and cost effective service to the Risk and Internal Audit function in line with the approved policies and procedures. This position is tenable in Botswana, Gaborone.

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities

• Coordinate risk management process across the institute in line with the Enterprise Risk Management policy and framework

• Monitor and evaluate internal control and risk management systems

• Facilitate risk appraisal and management

• Implement the Operational Risk Management Framework

• Assess and challenge the risk profile

• Review relevant process breakdowns from Internal Audit findings

• Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation

• Facilitate business function risk meetings

• Assist in the preparation of quarterly corporate risk reports

Education and Experience

• BCom Risk Management/Internal Auditing or any other relevant qualification

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Risk Management and/or Internal Auditing,

• Membership of relevant professional body such as the Institute , Institute of Risk Manager and /or Institute of Internal Auditors

• Certification in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

• Knowledge of COSO and ISO 9001 : 2015 Standard for Quality Management would be an added advantage
