REDI’s client Eswatini Medical Christian University (EMCU), a recognized university based e the Kingdom of Eswatini, has an executive position which needs to be filled by en exceptional individual.
Purpose of the position:
The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the University responsible for academic and administrative activities of the University in accordance with set statutes.
Key areas of responsibility include:
a)l Strategic, Corporate leadership and Management of the University.
b) Coordinating the academic programmes;
c) Overseeing the development and maintenance of a robust quality assurance framework;
d) Managing international relations and stakeholders;
e) Developing and implementing a strategy for the University;
f) Co-ordinate resource mobilization;
g) Supervision of senior staff and maintenance of a suitable working environment;
h) Promoting and enhancing the quality of research, teaching and learning in the University.
Professional Qualification and experience: PhD or equivalent from a recognized university. Must have held a post at the rank of Associate Professor or above or its equivalent. Must have served as Pro Vice Chancellor or in a senior academic management position for at least 10 years. Proven leadership and management in a tertiary institute.
