CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER (CCO)

SNG Grant Thornton Advisory (Eswatini) (Pty) Ltd invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
The CCO will report to the Executive Director.


Job Purpose

The CCO will be responsible for leading and managing all commercial functions of ESWASA to ensure:

  • Sustainable revenue growth

  • Expansion of market share

  • Enhanced customer satisfaction

The role oversees sales, marketing, and business development across ESWASA’s commercial services.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ESWASA’s commercial strategy, including identifying new market opportunities and setting revenue goals.

  • Manage standards training, sales, testing services, and certification portfolio.

  • Oversee sales and marketing efforts, ensuring effective lead generation, campaign execution, and customer acquisition.

  • Ensure commercial services are aligned with market needs, competitive, and scalable.

  • Drive ESWASA’s customer satisfaction, retention, and advocacy within standards training, sales, testing, and certification programs.

  • Manage budgets, forecasting revenue, and ensuring financial health of training, standard sales, and conformity assessment services.

  • Lead and mentor the commercial team, fostering collaboration and high performance.

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes.

  • Represent ESWASA in national and other forums as delegated by the Executive Director.


Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

  • Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant professional certification preferred.

  • Exposure to certification standards application in a certified organization.

  • 5 years’ managerial experience in marketing and sales.

  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent sales skills including prospecting, lead generation, closing deals, and building client relationships.

  • Understanding of industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities and track sales performance.

  • Understanding of standards application and certification.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders.

  • Good analytical skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

  • High level of computer literacy.

  • Strong ethical standards and integrity.
