
Key Performance Areas
- Plan and supervise daily work and performance of employees on assigned shifts.
- Organize schedules and assign work activities to achieve company objectives safely.
- Achieve shift, daily, weekly, monthly and off-crop shutdown targets.
- Develop and manage budgets with the Engineering Manager and finance partners.
- Monitor performance and support teams in solving problems and taking corrective action.
- Ensure maintenance standards and instructions are followed.
- Manage iAMP policy adherence among maintenance teams.
- Improve work quality to reduce rework and increase plant reliability.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and reliability for the respective area.
- Identify areas for equipment performance and quality improvement.
- Implement systems and processes for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Factory Optimization and Production teams.
- Ensure SAP records, BOM information and Work Orders are captured accurately.
- Ensure technical and maintenance reporting complies with company procedures.
- Identify Learning & Development needs and manage training.
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Promote adherence to SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption policies.
Job Requirements
- Matric / “O” Level Certificate.
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering – Light Current/Instrumentation or equivalent.
- Instrumentation Trade Test with 5+ years’ experience in instrumentation maintenance.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Extensive experience using maintenance management systems, especially SAP.
- Knowledge of Siemens DCS systems is an added advantage.
- Ability to work methodically and systematically in a Sugar Mill environment.
