Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the vacant position of Senior Manager: Management Accounting and Reporting. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
The Senior Manager: Management Accounting and Reporting ensures EWSC’s profitability and growth and plays a support role to EWSC’s executive management team in utilizing financial information to inform business strategy, sets the Corporation’s budget in order ensure the cost-effective delivery of water services while overseeing the revenue and expenditure within approved budget limits, through budgetary controls and variance analysis at corporate level.
Accountable for maximizing returns to the Corporation by managing tax planning, cash flow and investing surplus funds, monitor loan repayment portfolio, monitor, and manage the asset register and fostering an enabling delivery environment for EWSC to become a high-performing organization whereby business practices and decisions are aligned with the EWSC vision, mission, and values.
The Senior Manager: Management Accounting and Reporting determines strategic initiatives, allocates resources, directs execution, and evaluates results for performance course correction. In addition, this role provides support to the Projects team in the appraisal of capital projects to enhance management decision.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in commerce/ finance/ financial management / management accounting/ accounting

Professional Qualification: member of ESIA/ CIMA/ ACCA/ CPA/ CFA

Technical field-related post graduate qualification
-
8 years’ experience, including 5 years in a managerial role and 3 years of commercial accountability for a portfolio in the utilities industry.
