Job Summary

Liberty Life Swaziland Ltd is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to apply analytical, statistical, and mathematical skills to analyse data and support the resolution of complex business and financial problems, particularly those involving risk.

The successful candidate will calculate the probability and financial impact of events such as product failure, accidents, property damage, injury, and death. The analysis will be used to support the design and pricing of insurance policies, investment plans, pension plans, and other financial products.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse financial and business data using analytical, statistical, and mathematical techniques.
Assess and quantify financial and insurance-related risks.
Calculate the probability and cost of future events.
Support the pricing and development of insurance policies, investment products, pension plans, and other financial instruments.
Contribute to solving complex financial and risk management challenges.
Provide data-driven insights to support business decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

First Degree in Mathematical Sciences.

Experience Required

3–4 years’ experience in Data Monetisation, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience and understanding of risk management within financial services, including banking, insurance, or investment management.
Knowledge of financial products, services, and business processes.
Experience using spreadsheets, databases, statistical analysis software, and programming languages.
Strong understanding of business trends and enabling technologies.
Strong background in mathematics and statistics with sound business and financial knowledge.
