Job Purpose

The AI Engineer will design, develop, test, deploy and operationalise AI and machine-learning solutions that address approved business requirements and support business adoption.

Key Deliverables

• Design, develop, test, deploy and operationalise AI/ML models and AI agents.
• Progress approved AI use cases from concept, proof-of-concept or pilot stage into production.
• Deliver measurable improvements in manual effort, processing time, compliance risk or operational cost through AI-enabled solutions.
• Track solution benefits against defined business objectives.
• Implement and support AI and Data Governance Frameworks.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with security, privacy, responsible-AI and governance requirements.
• Drive adoption and effective use of AI-enabled solutions through process integration, stakeholder engagement and user support.
• Document AI knowledge, technical standards, reusable frameworks and best practices.
• Transfer AI capability and knowledge to relevant teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering or a related field.

Advantageous Qualifications and Knowledge

• Machine Learning or AI Engineering certification.
• Proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML libraries or frameworks.
• Knowledge of API-based model integration and agentic-AI concepts, including:
  • Agent orchestration
  • Tool integration
  • Prompt engineering
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Multi-agent frameworks
• Knowledge of data privacy, cybersecurity, responsible AI, data engineering, SQL, enterprise architecture and data governance in secure ICT environments.

Experience Requirements

• At least two years’ relevant experience in advanced analytics or AI-solution development.
• Experience developing, training, deploying and supporting machine-learning models in a production environment.
• At least 1.5 years’ experience developing and deploying AI agents and agentic workflows using LangChain, CrewAI, Strands or similar technologies.

Added Advantages

• Experience in AI/ML model development and deployment.
• AI Engineering certification.
• Experience in predictive analytics, classification, clustering, anomaly detection and Natural Language Processing use cases.
