Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

The Director: ICT Operations will provide strategic leadership in information and communication technology, ensuring alignment between ICT initiatives and the organisation’s corporate strategic plan.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute the ICT Strategy aligned with the corporate strategic plan.
• Lead digital transformation and technology innovation initiatives.
• Ensure the security, availability, resilience and integrity of ICT systems, infrastructure and information assets.
• Establish and maintain ICT governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.
• Oversee the delivery of ICT projects, services and investments to achieve business value.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, vendors and service providers.
• Provide strategic advice to Executive Management on emerging technologies and ICT investments.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years’ ICT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in ICT strategy development, digital transformation, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, infrastructure management and technology governance.
• Demonstrated experience managing large ICT programmes, budgets, contracts and vendor relationships.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of ICT governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of project management, information security and IT service management best practices.
• Ability to provide strategic ICT leadership and guide technology investments.

Added Advantage
Professional certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, PRINCE2, CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, cloud certifications or related qualifications will be an added advantage.
