Double Qualified Nurse (FTC)

The Job
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for appointment to the above position in the Estate Support Function, reporting to the Nursing Manager.
This is a 2-year fixed term contract position.
Purpose
To deliver a range of nursing, clinical, and public/community health services aimed at promoting health and enhancing patient care quality, while ensuring patient safety and optimal well-being through best practices and collaboration with medical staff.
Key Performance Areas
- Conduct primary patient case management (consultation, prescribing, dispensing medication) in line with regulations.
- Conduct antenatal assessments and manage complications in line with midwifery best practice.
- Manage the intrapartum period (deliveries, pain management, emotional support).
- Perform nursing procedures: phlebotomy, IV cannula insertion, catheterization, wound dressing, oral and parenteral drug administration.
- Assist in procedures such as suturing, caesarean sections, and complicated deliveries.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional clinical environment.
- Participate in community health promotion and education programmes.
- Work within a multidisciplinary medical team to provide holistic care.
- Maintain a professional, empathetic, patient-first approach.
- Follow Infection Prevention and Control and OSHA standards.
- Adhere to ABF policies (including SHERQ, Competition Law, Anti-bribery and Corruption).
Job Requirements
- General Nursing Diploma
- Diploma in Midwifery (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years relevant clinical experience
- Valid practising licence with Eswatini Nursing Council
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong clinical knowledge in nursing and midwifery
