
OSH Lecturer
Position Title: OSH Lecturer
Department: Occupational Safety and Health
Reports To: Head of Department
Employment Type: Full-Time
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree or PhD in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a closely related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, OSHA certifications) will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level or significant industry experience in OSH.
- A strong record of or potential for research and publication in relevant fields is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver lectures and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Occupational Safety and Health.
- Design, update, and assess course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and examinations, in alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards.
- Supervise student projects, internships, and research activities.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and participation in academic conferences.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development and program enhancement initiatives.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities.
- Foster relationships with industry partners to support student placements and collaborative projects.
