CAREER OPPORTUNITY: ENGINEER BOILERS

RES Corporation, a world-class producer of sugar and its by-products and the largest private-sector company in Eswatini, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Engineer Boilers within the Steam and Power Generation Department under the Factories Division.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Engineer Boilers will be responsible for managing steam generation and power production operations, ensuring efficient boiler performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous support to factory and distillery operations.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage production of High-Pressure (HP) Steam required for cane operations and power generation
Manage the export of power
Supply the Distillery with High-Pressure (HP) and Low-Pressure (LP) steam to support continuous alcohol production
Manage the supplementary fuel budget
Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements relating to the safe operation, care, and maintenance of boiler equipment
Uphold and contribute to all Integrated Management System (IMS) initiatives

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

BTech or BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Completion of an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Programme in a sugar factory will be an added advantage
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the sugar industry or similar heavy industry
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory or similar position
Government Certificate of Competency will be an added advantage
Previous sugar factory Steam and Power Generation experience at Engineer level will be an added advantage
