ENGINEERING MANAGER

ENPC invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced engineering professionals for the position of Engineering Manager. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, implementation and quality assurance of engineering projects. The role will provide leadership to engineering teams, manage project resources and budgets, coordinate stakeholders and ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety and environmental standards.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Lead the design, development, testing and implementation of engineering products, systems, and processes.
  • Coordinate engineering activities in line with approved project scope, schedules, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage engineering operational and provide leadership, mentoring and performance oversight.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost estimates, resource allocation, and capital investment proposals.
  • Manage engineering consultants and review design deliverables and technical reports.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between engineering disciplines and other departments.
  • Develop and implement quality plans and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote engineering best practices across the organization.
  • Monitor change management processes and ensure effective implementation of engineering modifications.
  • Prepare and present technical information to management and other stakeholders.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering processes.
  • Proficiency in terminal operations, SHERQ systems, maintenance philosophies, and ISO standards (9001/14001/45001).
  • Strategic planning and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent team-building and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent planning, organization and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in presentation and reporting tools.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (BEng/BSc) in Petroleum, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer certification.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or an equivalent certification.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in engineering roles (Infrastructure Asset Management and construction of large capital projects).
  • Experience in the energy sector will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams.
