JOB PRIMARY PURPOSE
The primary job purpose of the Eswatini Payment Systems (EPS) Coordinator role is to coordinate the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Payment Systems projects in support of the Bank’s National Payment Systems strategy. The role facilitates collaboration among internal departments, commercial banks, payment service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved timelines, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
KEY JOB FUNCTION
- Plan, monitor, implement, and control the Payment Switch project to ensure that it is delivered within the agreed scope, time, and costs.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and action items; follow up with team members and the industry on outstanding tasks.
- Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices that may impact payment systems projects and initiatives.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, business cases, and impact assessments for new payment systems initiatives and infrastructure enhancements.
- Assist with coordination of consultants’ visits and stays on an ad hoc basis.
- Maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and risk/issue logs.
- Monitor project timelines and flag potential delays or resource conflicts.
- Support the development and execution of change management plans aligned to project goals.
- Assist in stakeholder analysis and mapping to identify groups impacted by project changes.
- Support the identification of resistance points and escalate concerns to the Project Manager.
- Maintain a change management calendar to align messaging and training with project milestones.
- Support stakeholder analysis and mapping to identify impacted groups and tailor engagement strategies accordingly.
- Support project audits and quality assurance reviews.
- Coordinate awareness sessions for CBE staff on the project developments.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of minimum experience in a relevant field.
- Must have worked on project administration and support.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet) and MS Office.
- Exposure to change management frameworks and models.
