Job Purpose
The Head, Vehicle & Asset Finance (VAF) will be responsible for developing and driving Vehicle and Asset Finance product solutions within the allocated portfolio, with a strong focus on digitisation and customer-centric innovation.
The role requires leveraging customer insights and data to design agile, efficient, and competitive financing solutions while supporting the Bank’s “one-and-done” product portfolio principle through a variety of pricing and costing options.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Vehicle and Asset Finance product strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Drive product innovation and digitisation initiatives within the VAF portfolio.
- Analyse customer needs and market trends to develop customer-centric financial solutions.
- Ensure product solutions support the Bank’s integrated product portfolio strategy.
- Manage product profitability and portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with credit, risk, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Oversee the end-to-end Vehicle and Asset Finance value chain, including products, processes, and systems.
- Manage balance sheet and income statement performance for the VAF portfolio.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
- First Degree in one of the following fields:
- Marketing
- Finance
- Accounting
- Commerce
- Related field
Experience Required
Business Solutions
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a related environment.
- Experience in the design and development of financial products.
- Experience dealing with credit and compliance matters.
- Solid understanding of different industry sectors and sector risk profiles and trends.
- Knowledge of Vehicle and Asset Finance administration processes and procedures.
- Experience managing a balance sheet and income statement.
- Understanding of the Vehicle and Asset Finance value chain, including products, processes, and systems.
