HEAVY DUTY, YELLOW PLANT & LIGHT DUTY SALES ASSISTANT

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Heavy-Duty Plant and Light-Duty Sales Assistant with proven experience in aftermarket parts for buses, trailers and trucks to join our team.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting a wide range of heavy-duty machinery and light-duty motor spare parts, cultivating strong customer relationships, and contributing to overall revenue growth.


Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate will provide operational support in terms of implementing the following:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the heavy plant and equipment market
  • Promote and sell a range of heavy machinery and general products to clients
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and industry trends
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions
  • Stay vigilant on industry trends, competitor pricing, and product developments
  • Handle product returns with professionalism and uphold service quality

Technical Skills and Experience

The successful candidates must have the following:

  • O’Level, or IGCSE Certificate (minimum requirement)
  • Formal qualification at least at Diploma level with proven competence in MS Excel will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience with a heavy and a light duty in sales role in motor spares retail
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate POS systems
  • Familiarity with competitor product offerings and pricing
  • Understanding of stock control and customer enquiry handling
  • Ability to analyse customer trends and report relevant data
