Job Description

The Human Capital Business Partner will support the effective delivery of Human Capital functions, including employee relations, learning and development, performance management, workforce planning, payroll, recruitment, HR systems, risk management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Industrial Relations Coordination

  • Facilitate informal resolution of employee relations matters where possible.
  • Escalate complex IR matters and collaborate with the IR Specialist.

Learning & Development Coordination

  • Utilise staff engagement survey feedback to design and implement solutions in collaboration with the L&D Unit.

Performance Management

  • Monitor compliance with the Performance Management System (PMS) Policy.

Workforce Analysis

  • Develop recommendations for retention, succession, development and recruitment interventions for review by the Human Capital Manager.

Payroll Administration

  • Process payroll inputs and submit them to the Human Capital Manager for review.
  • Submit reviewed inputs to Finance for processing.

Leave Administration

  • Monitor and report leave accruals and balances to Heads of Department (HODs).
  • Ensure leave balances remain within acceptable thresholds.

Recruitment Coordination

  • Ensure the integrity of the interview process through adherence to recruitment policy.

Human Resources Information System (HRIS)

  • Capture and update accurate employee records.
  • Identify HRIS optimisation opportunities and make recommendations to the Human Capital Manager.

Risk & Change Management

  • Compile a risk register of identified risks.
  • Analyse risks and provide controls and mitigation measures.
  • Make recommendations to the Human Capital Manager.

Audits

  • Source documents and reports required for internal and external audits.

Reporting

  • Provide informative Human Capital reports to support proactive decision-making.
