01. Main Purpose of the Role

The Investments Analyst will analyse existing, potential, and new investment instruments to advise the Director Investments on their suitability for the PSPF portfolio, considering expected risks and returns, and monitor the performance of Asset Managers.

02. Key Performance Areas

Participate in the development and review of Investment Strategy, Policy, and Guidelines
Monitor Asset Manager performance and make recommendations
Conduct research and investment analysis for new and existing projects
Ensure compliance with Investment Policy and Guidelines
Build relationships with Regulatory Authorities, Retirement Funds, and financial institutions
Support Government objectives for economic development in Eswatini
Provide input to the Registrar on local investment requirements
Contribute to formulation of risk parameters for investment evaluation
Liaise with Investment Advisors and Consultants to align with Fund objectives
Understand asset classes (equity, property, bonds, cash, derivatives – local & offshore)
Apply accounting principles in evaluating companies and proposals
Assess Private Equity risks within the Fund’s risk tolerance
Deliver high-quality, timely investment reports

03. Minimum Qualifications

Degree

B.Com in Economics, Finance, or Investments

Professional Qualifications

ACCA, CFA, MBA, or MSc in Finance

Experience

Minimum 4 years in financial markets or project appraisal

Management Experience

Minimum 3 years at management level

Advantageous

Experience in Private Equity
