Job Summary

The Lapu Patrolman is responsible for providing game guarding services within the Livestock & Game Department, helping to protect wildlife and company property by preventing poaching and supporting game management activities.

Key Responsibilities

Patrol designated areas of the ranch at irregular times as instructed by the Supervisor to detect and deter poaching activities.
Monitor and investigate any irregularities observed during patrols.
Report all incidents and observations to the Supervisor.
Comply with all rules and regulations governing the handling, use, and control of firearms and ammunition.
Assist hunters by spotting animals and guiding them within designated hunting areas.
Ensure hunters comply with established hunting rules.
Arrest or assist in the arrest of suspected poachers and other offenders found on RES property.
Contribute to the implementation of departmental Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

O’ Level Certificate.

Experience

Minimum 1 year experience as a Game Guard in a medium to large farming operation or a similar environment.
Ability to track both people and animals.
Basic understanding of wildlife.
Safe weapon handling, fire emergency response, and First Aid skills will be an added advantage.
