MANAGING DIRECTOR

Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC), a Category A parastatal, seeks an accomplished executive to shape its future and drive continued growth and success.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director will lead EEC’s strategic and operational performance, financial sustainability and contribution to Eswatini’s energy security and economic growth, while advancing its vision of becoming a major regional energy sector player.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shape and execute EEC’s strategic direction, business objectives and policies.

  • Drive financial sustainability, operational excellence and effective resource management.

  • Oversee electricity generation, transmission and distribution, including expansion of local generation capacity.

  • Build strategic relationships with government, regulators and key stakeholders.

  • Champion corporate governance, organisational transformation and a high-performance culture.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree and relevant professional certification.

  • Minimum 10 years’ senior executive leadership experience, ideally within electrical engineering, energy or related sectors.

  • Proven strategic leadership, commercial and financial management experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of Eswatini’s electricity sector, energy legislation and regulatory environment.

  • Sound understanding of national development priorities, public policy and corporate governance.
