Jack Hersov Primary School invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Pre-School Teacher.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education/Development or an equivalent qualification.
- Certificate in Special Education.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching at pre-school level.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively with young children.
- Good communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and learning activities for pre-school children.
- Providing a safe, caring and supportive learning environment.
- Developing and implementing activities that promote children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development.
- Identifying and supporting children with different learning needs, including children requiring special educational support.
- Monitoring and assessing children’s progress and maintaining appropriate records.
- Preparing teaching and learning materials suitable for young children.
- Promoting positive behaviour, discipline and good social interaction among learners.
- Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding children’s development and progress.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Participating in school activities and other duties related to the effective functioning of the pre-school.
