Job Description
Reporting to the Business Manager, the Procurement Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring value-for-money procurement, project management, effective stock management, and the smooth coordination of transport logistics and payroll services.
The role combines administrative, analytical, and operational responsibilities to strengthen shared service functions and optimize resource utilization across the schools.
The incumbent will liaise closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to streamline procurement processes, oversee capital projects, manage inventory levels, coordinate travel, and process monthly payrolls.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate measurable cost savings, process improvements, and compliance with procurement best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess supplier capabilities (financial, operational, compliance)
- Prepare quotations and comparative analysis reports
- Lead supplier negotiations and manage contracts
- Maintain stock control systems and inventory records
- Conduct supplier performance reviews
- Prepare monthly payrolls and statutory returns
- Coordinate transport, accommodation, and travel logistics
- Ensure vehicle safety and maintenance compliance
- Provide bookkeeping and accounting support
- Recommend process improvements
Qualifications & Experience
- BCom with Accounting major
- Professional qualification in procurement or project management (added advantage)
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
- Computer literacy (Payroll & School Administration systems)
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
