PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR (FIXED-TERM CONTRACTOR)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for appointment to the above-mentioned position that has arisen in the Factory Function – Major Projects, reporting to Finance Business Partner.

1. Key Performance Areas

• Support the Finance Business Partner, Commercial Lead, and Project Head in delivering the project on time, within budget, and within the approved scope.

• Prepare project purchase requisitions, follow up on their conversion to purchase orders, and monitor the delivery of materials and services.

• Follow up on all untracked expenditure and commitments via SI’s and similar.

• Assist with project expenditure, invoice processing, financial transactions, payment facilitation, and complete routine reconciliations.

• Monitor project expenditure against the approved budget and report discrepancies or potential budget variances.

• Control and maintain accurate, complete, and accessible project financial and administrative records.

• Track project assets, coordinate the capitalisation of completed assets, and maintain asset registers.

• Manage and control all accommodation processes, including movements, operating costs, cost recoveries and revenue collection.

• Liaise with project leaders, finance, procurement, contractors, suppliers, and facilities management to follow up on outstanding project matters.

• Implement and maintain project governance tools and ensure compliance with the Project Charter, SHERQ requirements, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption policies.

2. Job Requirements

• Extensive capital project experience and working in a multi-disciplinary environment is essential.

• Microsoft Skills (especially Excel and Word).

• Sound understanding and prior use of ABF Sugar’s ERP Systems and business processes.

• Strong track record in Project management and Control and Extensive prior project experience in role.

• Degree in Business Administration or Equivalent would be an advantage.

• Must possess a valid driver’s licence.
