REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

RE: REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

2026 AUGUST 17

FORMATION OF AN INDEPENDENT ORGANISING COMMITTEE FOR A
NATIONAL INTER-DENOMINATIONAL CHRISTIAN DIALOGUE –
ESWATINI

There is a need for Christians in Eswatini to come together and talk – not as competing denominations, but as followers of Christ

An initiative is being developed to convene a National Inter-Denominational Christian Dialogue in Eswatini.

The proposed dialogue will provide an opportunity for Christians from different denominations and church traditions to come together in a respectful, Scripture-centred environment to examine matters relating to:

  • Christian fellowship and worship;
  • prayer and Christian conduct;
  • order and discipline in Christian gatherings;
  • humility and spiritual leadership;
  • worship practices;
  • God’s Ten Commandments;
  • the continuing relevance of God’s commandments;
  • the Sabbath Commandment;
  • faith, grace and obedience; and
  • other matters affecting the spiritual life and witness of the Christian Church.

This initiative is not intended to promote, defend or advance any particular denomination. It is intended to create a neutral platform where Christians can open the Scriptures, listen to one another, respectfully examine differences and identify areas of common ground.

CALL FOR INDEPENDENT ORGANISING COMMITTEE MEMBERS WHO ARE WILLING TO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME AND THEIR RESOURCES

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably committed and principled individuals who would be willing to voluntarily serve on an Independent Organising Committee responsible for developing and coordinating the initiative.

We are particularly interested in people who demonstrate:

  • Christian maturity and integrity;
  • commitment to Scripture;
  • respect for Christians of different traditions;
  • impartiality and independence;
  • good communication skills;
  • organisational ability;
  • willingness to listen to opposing views;
  • ability to work collaboratively;
  • confidentiality and discretion; and
  • commitment to serving the wider Christian community rather than a particular denomination.

Applicants do not have to agree on every theological matter. What is required is a willingness to create a fair platform on which such matters can be discussed responsibly.

AN IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT

Applicants are required to declare their church/denominational background and any leadership, organisational or other interests that could potentially create a conflict of interest.

This information will not automatically disqualify an applicant. It will assist the selection panel in creating a committee that is genuinely balanced and independent.

APPLICATION

Persons willing to volunteer their time in this work of God can submit their personal details including their professional & denominational backgrounds.

  • A brief statement explaining why they wish to serve on the committee;
  • Their understanding of an impartial inter-denominational dialogue; and
  • Any potential conflict of interest that should be disclosed.

NB: Please note again:
This is a voluntary committee member role.
It does not constitute any form of employment

Applications close: 04th October 2026
