Dabulamanzi Civil Works and Irrigation (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial, contractual, and cost management expertise for civil works, irrigation, and built environment projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project costs from inception to completion, including within turnkey environments.
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, tender documents, valuations, and final accounts.
- Administer construction contracts, managing procurement, claims, variations, and subcontractor payments.
- Monitor project budgets, cash flows, and expenditure while conducting site measurements.
- Provide monthly commercial reports and support project teams with cost control and commercial decision-making.
- Be willing to mentor and train subordinates, ensuring adequate growth and continuous development.
Minimum Requirements
- A BSc in Quantity Surveying and an Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying is required.
- At least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in quantity surveying on specific projects such as civil engineering, buildings, roads, water infrastructure, and irrigation schemes.
- Demonstrable experience in turnkey construction projects and complex budget management.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering, procurement, and proficiency in relevant QS software.
- Registration with AESAP preferred.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
