SYSTEMS ANALYST

The Industrial Development Company of Eswatini is recruiting a qualified candidate for the position of SYSTEMS ANALYST.

Job Purpose

The Systems Analyst will develop and manage effective IT through the development and implementation of IT strategy, budgets, policies and procedures. The role covers information technology, software, hardware, enterprise systems, support services, systems security and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the company strategy.
• Provide monthly and annual reports, with recommendations for improving efficiencies.
• Ensure IT hardware and software meet required standards and recommend improvements.
• Enforce and update existing policies, disaster-recovery plans and develop new policies and procedures as needed.
• Provide project management for systems, infrastructure and network deployments to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Manage IT vendors.
• Develop the company IT budget in line with IT and company strategy.
• Manage the IT department, assign projects, tasks and responsibilities.
• Improve company agility and efficiency through process improvements and implementation of new technologies and systems.
• Keep up to date with relevant technologies.
• Administer the company ERP system and other business-related systems.
• Gather requirements for enhancements to existing systems and implementation of new systems.
• Develop business-requirement documents for new projects and system-enhancement projects.
• Manage IT change requests.
• Test solutions against business requirements and recommend sign-off where appropriate.
• Administer and maintain physical security systems, including biometrics and CCTV cameras.
• Develop IT policies, procedures and processes and ensure compliance with IDCE requirements.
• Provide and maintain a secure network and systems infrastructure, and recommend security improvements.
• Support all customers, including subsidiaries Swazi Plaza Properties and Piggs Peak Plaza.
• Ensure network, configuration, system application and data backup and recovery in line with the organisation’s backup policy and disaster-recovery plan.
• Manage IT asset inventory.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
• Five to seven years’ experience in IT infrastructure management, particularly in hybrid environments.
• Project-management experience.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• ITIL certification or knowledge.
