The Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority (ESWACAA) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:

1. ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST

Department: Aviation Environmental Protection
Division: Flight Safety Standards
Location: Matsapha – ESWACAA Head Office
Reports to: Director – Flight Safety Standards

Purpose of the Position

To lead, monitor and ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Eswatini’s aviation environmental protection strategy, in compliance with national legislation, ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices and applicable environmental programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, regulations and rules for aviation environmental protection.
• Monitor compliance with ICAO Annex 16 and national environmental legislation.
• Develop technical guidance materials and Environmental Management Plan manuals.
• Develop and execute certification and surveillance programmes.
• Participate in environmental incident and accident investigations.
• Monitor ICAO environmental compliance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Resource Management, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental management.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Full Aviation Security Clearance.

Postgraduate qualifications and experience in aviation environmental management will be an added advantage.

2. QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS OFFICER (X2)

Contract: 24-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Department: Quality Management Systems
Division: Airports
Location: KMIII International Airport, Sikhuphe
Reports to: QMS Coordinator

Purpose of the Position

To support the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Authority’s Quality Management System in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, international standards and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support QMS awareness and training.
• Maintain QMS documentation, records and work instructions.
• Support compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with internal quality audits.
• Track audit findings, non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Support external audits, inspections and certification assessments.
• Analyse quality performance data and prepare reports and dashboards.
• Support risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with quality-related training and documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in Quality Management Systems, Quality Assurance, Compliance, Internal Audit or Process Improvement.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 31000.

SAMTRAC, NEBOSH and/or ISO certification will be an added advantage.
