QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants must possess the following:

  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering.
  • Grade 1 Trade Test Certificate.
  • Five (5) years Apprenticeship Certificate.
  • Five (5) years’ experience at Grade 1 level in the Automotive Industry.
  • Heavy Duty Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Systems.
  • Familiarity with Tractors and Farm Implements.

KEY DUTIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting routine maintenance of University vehicles.
  • Diagnosing and analysing vehicle faults.
  • Overhauling engines, transmissions, and repairing electrical systems.
  • Attending to vehicle breakdowns and carrying out road tests.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

  • One (1) year contract, with the possibility of renewal by mutual consent, subject to satisfactory performance.
